The Pantry is open Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 12:00 (noon) to 4:00 p.m.
Your income must be within 130% of the poverty guidelines or you currently receive SNAP benefits. You must provide a form of identification and evidence of your current address.
Our weekend feeding program is for those physically unable to prepare food for themselves within the Parkersburg area. These meals are delivered each Saturday and Sunday 52 weeks a year. Those over the age of 70 and the most severally disabled receive first offering.
Our mission currently prepares 107 backpacks of food for two elementary schools in Wood County. These schools are Worthington Elementary and Kanawha Elementary.
In 2017 our mission distributed 351,684 pounds of food through our food pantry. We are the largest food pantry in Wood County. Our monthly average in 2017 was 559 families. Our last quarterly report this year was an average of 620 families.
Our Weekend Feeding Program served over 41,000 meals in 2017.
We work with schools in our community to provide clothing and shoes.
Old Man Rivers Mission has a program to help individuals obtain eye exams and glasses. This is income based. The individual must complete an application through our office. We will notify you of the date and time of your appointment. All appointments must be kept because we do not reschedule. We will help an individual once every five years due to the number of requests for this service.
